Ajay,
We had such an amazing time!!! I don’t even know where to begin... Delhi and Agra were both exquisite. We had quite an experience at Pushkar. It is a beautiful and holy city. The camel safari was so beautiful and such a memorable experience... Thank you for everything you have done, including selecting some fantastic drivers and guides. Patras was particularly delightful. The hotels selected were also very accommodating. We ate delicious food, saw some beautiful sights and shared so many memorable experiences. The perfect honeymoon! Thank you so very much for this gift.

We look forward to sharing our experience and singing your praises to our friends and family who are considering upcoming travel. We were so pleased with everything. You will be hearing from us again for future adventures, of that you can be certain! Until then, please keep in touch.

When I told my husband that I was arranging a tour through an online travel agency, he was skeptical. We had been to India twice before and had arrangements made for us through our hotel connections at the Taj and CGH. We planned a month trip in February 2015 and I was interested in attending the Sufi Music Festival in Jodhpur. I went on the internet and found the Nomad Travels website. At first I thought I would have them just book the festival and one hotel in Jodhpur. I spoke to Ajay personally and felt so comfortable that I had them book the entire Rajasthan portion of our trip as well as hotels in Mumbai and all my flights in India. I also needed a car and driver upon my return to Mumbai which Nomad arranged. I would highly recommend Ajay and his team and would definitely use them on my next trip.

Dear Ajay,
I cannot tell you how much Amy and I enjoyed our time in India and Nepal! It was beyond my wildest dreams. Our accommodations were unbelievably wonderful, and all of your agents and guides were terrific. India has made a new country in my heart, and in my writing, too, and I really look forward to a return in the not too distant future... I think it was a very lucky day for us when Amy was surfing the net and found you!

Nomad Travels is the best and for us they arrange dream holidays. We just tell them what we want, and they make it happen. At the end of each holiday, Dileep and I look at each other and exclaim- “What a perfect holiday it was!” Flight arrangements are made, cars with kind and polite drivers come to pick us up and transport us to wherever we need to go, and excellent hotels are always arranged. Nomad always goes one step further and makes this special arrangement or that. It always feels special. Jaipur was yet another such experience. Some one told us once to visit Rambagh Palace because it was an experience. This is true! Staying at the Rambagh was truly an exceptional experience. Not only is the palace itself beautiful , but the service by the hotel staff is exceptional, and the best I have ever seen anywhere in the world. Everyone at the hotel is concerned about the guest and does small and big things to make the guests stay comfortable and enjoyable. A lovely guide took us to the Amer Fort and his commentary was delightful. On the last day, we did not leave the hotel grounds at all. We walked in the gardens amidst the peacocks, basked in the sun, and I pretended to be a maharani just for a little while.
On the way back, we were already wondering where we would like to wander next.

Ajay,
Thank you for taking our itinerary wish list and turning it into a fabulous trip. Upon our initial arrival and after each domestic flight it was very comforting to see our name held by someone each time we exited arrivals. We hit a lot of cities and the hotels were always outstanding (pleasant staff and great food). The drivers were pleasant and flexible, and the guides were very informative. We learned an amazing amount about the history and culture of India. The architecture of old forts and ancient temples is awe inspiring. The pace of our trip was well planned; a good balance of activity and relaxation time.
We want to thank you and your staff at Nomad Travels for the successful trip and all of the great memories.

Dear Ajay,
My deepest gratitude to you for arranging our trip to the Sufi Festival 2018 in Nagaur and for before and after culture exploration in India. Our group of 24 are colorful, dynamic and well traveled people. Your patience, flexibility, savvy advice and responsiveness made this trip one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. We couldn’t have done it without your dedication.

You obviously love your work and are passionate about showing the best and the real India. We throw so many curve balls at you, your can-do attitude is very much appreciated. You are a man of high integrity and fairness, we are so delighted to meet you at the Sufi Festival and at spending quality time with you to share the magic of the place, the music, and our friendship.

Needless to say that you will be the first person I will call if I come to India. We love you and we love India.

We first met Ajay Prakash many years ago during our first visit to India, having been referred to him to manage our local transfers. We found that Ajay and Nomad Travels took every care to ensure our safe and efficient transportation needs were carried out very well. Our next visit to India came about 15 years later when we decided to bring our 2 teenage children with us, and have them experience the beauty that India has to offer. Without any hesitation, we turned to Ajay to organize every aspect of our vacation – local flights and transfers, hotel arrangements, tours, etc. and we were very satisfied. Ajay was careful to recommend hotels that were within our budget and acceptable service rating. With 2 teenage kids, we had to ensure there was enough adventure to keep them interested and Ajay did not disappoint. He suggested a stopover in the small village of Sardargarh between Udaipur and Jaipur, and this was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Then while we were in Jaipur, he arranged for us to celebrate Holi with a very hospitable family, and this was a very memorable experience for all of us. We recently returned to India with our kids, and again, Ajay took care of everything. We would highly recommend Nomad Travels for anyone looking for personalized service in creating a customized tour itinerary while visiting India.

Dear Ajay,
Sadu and I got back from India a week ago. Still unpacking and getting over jet lag etc.
We talk about our wonderful trip to Rajasthan all the time. I think our friends are getting a little fed up of our constant descriptions. Thank you so much for this once in a lifetime experience. This would not have been possible without Nomad Travels. I know these days we can do a lot of travel arrangements online. We have done it ourselves. But this experience with Nomad Travels has opened our eyes to a whole new way of travelling. It was all so tailor made just for the two of us, or so it seemed. The hotels we stayed in, the guides we had and of course Ajay Singh, our driver, were all just perfect. There was not one moment of discomfort or confusion, etc. which are all common while travelling. This was all due to the excellent planning by Nomad Travels. I cannot wait for our next adventure with you all. Thank you so much for these lovely memories.
— Aruna Thinakal, Indiana, USA
We had a a great vacation in Rajasthan which Ajay was able to arrange with less than 24 hours notice! Ajay tailored the vacation based on the preferences of my family. This ensured there were no nasty surprises. He chose the most wonderful hotels for us to stay and it was a magical journey! We were transported back in time to a genteel world of Maharajas and old world hospitality. As always, Ajay delivered and considering I have been using Ajay and Nomad for over 20 years it is a big testimonial to his consistency.
I would recommend Nomad Travels for anyone looking for a quality, no-surprises vacation. I am aware there are low cost alternatives, but I feel there is nothing more valuable than peace of mind. Knowing you will have a safe vacation where all arrangements will be as promised.

How many ways are there to say Thank You?
I found Nomad through the advert for the Sufi Festival and because you replied so promptly I knew it would be alright. I’m used to bluffing my way around India, so the delight of having your team make arrangements, from trains to flights, to hotels and finally trying to get a ticket at the theatre, was so much more than I am used to. It was wonderful.

What was unexpected was your ability to make me feel you were concerned that I was enjoying myself at all times. I would love to bring my grandchildren to Rajasthan or Kerala, and would certainly do so with Nomad as I know I could trust you to make it perfect. This may sound Over the Top, but you really did make this year’s visit special. Thank you so much
— Meryl Taylor, UK
I had to go do some work in Tamil Nadu last month and had some extra time to spare so Ajay planned an awesome eco-tour for us around Kerala AND got me to work on time! The drivers that he book for us were very friendly, knowledgeable and took us around to see some beautiful sights! Thekkady was by far our favorite, a surreal landscape, awesome climate and really cool trekking activities.
Thanks Ajay!

Hi Ajay,
We wanted to thank you for planning a wonderful adventure for us. Although we were already in touch with two other travel agents that were recommended to us, when we found you online for the Sacred Spirit Sufi music festival, your responses were the most informative, and we just got a good vibe from you.
We were impressed with how you were “with us” all along the way via WhatsApp, and how smoothly our travel went. We were also glad to have had a chance to meet you in Mumbai.
Thank you again and looking forward to you planning our next trip.
— Randy Bloom and Peter, New York, USA
Our trip through India was a most memorable experience. The travel arrangements and accommodation were top class with experienced guides in each location to explain the local history and culture as well as guiding us to wonderful shopping opportunities and places to explore local regional cuisine. The arrangements were excellent, with flights, road and rail transport all going to plan. In under 4 weeks we were able to get a memorable taste for the different parts of the country we were able to visit.

We are most grateful to Nomad travels for listening to our needs and making the necessary arrangements to make this trip so memorable. We have seen many countries and worked with many travel professionals. Ajay Prakash at Nomad travels is as good as we’ve seen. For a trip through India, I cant recommend his company highly enough.
— Andrew Gelbart, Australia
Nomad has been my reliable Indian travel source and booking company for the past 10 years. They are professional, fast, work to any budget and most importantly so damn friendly. What I love most about Nomad is that they constantly exceed themselves in finding the best boutique and unexpected places to visit and stay. I have also recommended Nomad to many of my friends and colleagues and every one of them have had the same positive feedback.
— Nick Bonney, Sydney, Australia
Dear Ajay!
Thank you so much more for perfectly organised South India Tour. Everything was really done very professionally. Hotels and our colleagues were perfect. We are already thinking to plan our next trip to India!!! Will be in touch.

We would be happy to provide either written or telephone reference. We were extremely pleased (and honestly a little bit surprised) that you were able to pull things together under such time constraints and without ever having met us. We would definitely contact you and use your services again.... All of our friends and family are enjoying our pictures and travel stories. Our memories will last a long, long time. We will never forget the wonderful places we visited, or the kindnesses extended by people on this trip.
— Andrew and Kimberlee Williams, USA
Nomad Travels organised the perfect first trip to India for us. It was hassle-free, we were looked after at each destination and yet it wasn’t over planned- we were able to explore the country at our own pace and see exactly what we wanted. Thank you for an amazing time, we can’t wait to come back!
— Alex Massey and Alexandra Best, Sydney, Australia
Just arrived home late last night. We had a wonderful trip. Thank you so much for our great “taste of India”. We wish we had more time. All of the guides, drivers, hotels, camel ride, etc. were outstanding! Everyone was professional, helpful, and nice. We were grateful to have them as I think it would have been completely overwhelming without them. I will be passing your name and address on to our travel agent and to any one planning on visiting. Kelly and I definitely plan on returning someday. There is so much more we want to see. We will spend much more time.
— Kathy Hurley, Boise, USA
Dear Ajay,
We are happy to share with the world what a great job you and your colleagues of Nomad Travels did arranging our almost 3 week adventure all around India. All our arrangements were perfectly and professionally executed: drivers, planes, hotels, tour guides. You went out of your way to precisely tailor our trip to meet our every request and requirement. As a professional travel writer and photographer, my husband John Montgomery and I had very specific and detailed requirements and Nomad Travels met every one of them and more.
We visited not only some of the classic Indian locations but indeed some of the off the beaten track ones, for example, because of my interest in horses, a Marwari stud farm. We enjoyed meeting with you and your wife at lunch in Mumbai, and have valued our continuing friendship. We certainly feel we can recommend your services and Nomad Travels without reservation. Best wishes.

Dear Ajay,
This is to thank you, Walter and Derrick for the amazing deal prepared for my family and me on our recent trip to Sri Lanka. We wish to acknowledge the professional arrangements without any flaws and also the cost effectiveness of the package that you guys put together. Thanks once again and wish you you all the best in the years ahead.
— Roy da Gama, Mumbai
Dear Ajay,
A very big thank you for organising our month-long trip through southern India in Sept 2018, starting in Chennai, ending in Hyderabad, and staying in twelve centres in between. An amazing trip experiencing the ancient, colonial and more contemporary history of this truly fascinating area, full of colour, great scenery and of course wonderful food. Your patience in dealing with my pedantic requests, and your good advice, led us to a trouble and stress-free holiday where everything went as planned. I am sure you will hear from us when we plan our next trip to India. Cheers.
— Anthony Hargreaves and Carol Gaston, Australia
My husband and I recently enjoyed a trip to India and arranged a private, customized tour with Ajay at Nomad Travels. We wanted a four day trip from Delhi to Agra and Jaipur and Nomad delivered exactly what we asked for. Our driver, Ravi was terrific, friendly and courteous, he took very good care of us. The local tour guides were very good, informative and entertaining. The hotels were very nice! We had a great trip, thanks Nomad!
— Terri Hamlin, Doha, Qatar
Hi Ajay,
Thank you so much for working around my business and teaching arrangements and helping me figure out a great way to spend a spare week solo on the Golden Triangle! All your arrangements were flawless- I insisted on taking the train because I like trains and I was always impressed that the new driver at the destination was magically able to find me and whisk me away to lunch or sightseeing. Of course the Taj Mahal is amazing to see in person, and the Hotel Jas Vilas in Jaipur was such a gem of Rajasthani hospitality. I was also grateful for your ability to work around the changing schedule of my students and colleagues, which meant that sometimes at the last minute I would or wouldn’t need a car for the day and you handled it without a problem. I had concerns at the outset traveling as a single woman but with the recommendations from Nomad I was able to be safe and careful the entire time but still see a great amount.

Thanks again! I’ll be back next year, next time with my husband who couldn’t make it this time, but now he has seen all my pictures and knows what he missed :)

Thank you for arranging the wonderful Kerala vacation we had. The place was awesome, hotels were wonderful and the driver we had, words cannot describe his professionalism and conduct, he was the most wonderful driver, very careful and thoughtful. We had a very nice time and did a lot of walking. The next time I am visiting India I will definitely be asking Nomad Travels to arrange my vacation and I will be recommending Nomad to other friends and family. Now back to the grind of every day, trying to adjust to the jetlag and tons of work on my desk to take care of.
— Jennifer Kyle, Toronto, Canada
Dear Ajay,
It was so nice to speak to you in Mumbai- thank you for taking the trouble. We were looked after beautifully in Jodhpur and Chandelao Garh. Our driver, Jabar Singh, deserves special mention. We have never been less afraid on Indian roads: he drives smoothly, quietly and with great skill. But not just that: he is reliable, knowledgeable- and fun to be with! Our guide, Hari, also suited us perfectly: quiet, unhurried, a good ‘teacher’ and with excellent English. We are especially grateful to you too for the Festival, which we loved, and for the Demoiselle cranes at Guda Lake: they turned on a flawless show. Salawas too was much more interesting than we had thought- and yes we did buy a dhurrie!
— Joy Phillips, New South Wales, Australia
Dear Ajay,
Dileep and I are just back in D.C. We have had a wonderful holiday in Scotland, and I wanted to thank you for making all the arrangements. The route we took was gorgeous. I don’t know what I was expecting, but the journey to Islay and back was in itself a pleasurable experience; Alpine with ‘fjords’!!!! And then there was Islay. I have a new respect for whiskey. What struck me was how peacefully/ serenely/ almost spiritually the liquor is made by a few people who have a passion for making it and in these little distilleries each of which overlooks a vista that is breathtaking. No wonder whiskey makes so many happy. I am now a new whiskey drinker!

Stevie knew the whiskey route really well. He knew the distilleries and the people who ran them and each visit ran smoothly almost like we were being hosted by them. But I think what Dileep and I most appreciated were the personal touches that Stevie added. He knew that I was interested in the island itself, and he drove us and drove us to all the little nooks and crannies he thought we would enjoy. Clearly, he loves the island and it comes across as he shares the island with you and then you also end up feeling passionately about it as well! At one point, he took us to see a beach on the Atlantic Ocean. I said that I had a little tradition of dipping my toes into as many ocean waters I could. He said that he had a tradition of his own and on that beautiful beach he whipped out glasses and some whiskey to drink on the beach. I drank my whiskey with my toes in the ocean. How cool is that!! And then he wanted us to ‘Meet Peat’! So as we were driving, we stopped at the bogs, walked on them and got to meet peat, as Dileep describes, up close and personal!! I could go on and on, but you get the picture.

I want to say that this was a perfect holiday. Nothing went wrong and everything was wonderful. So thank you for making excellent arrangements for us. Now we are already thinking about our next one!”

My son Gage (age 9) and I set off for the trip of a lifetime from Texas to Mumbai, India in late November. In addition to visiting with family members, our goal was to see some sights in this vast world that we had never experienced before. In addition to several large cities, we decided to experience Bandhavgarh National Park and the Andaman islands off the eastern shore of India. The main reason for visiting this particular national park was to spot some tigers, but that was not meant to be. We saw peacocks, blue bull, spotted deer, and monkeys galore. Ajay arranged for us to stay in a top notch hotel with hot running water at all times (but we were still close to the park, a jaguar was spotted on property so the playground was closed!). The Andaman islands were absolutely unbelievable, and again, Ajay suggested a wonderful spot with local guides on property to suggest where to scuba, snorkel, and take kayak rides through the mangroves. Ajay’s team was highly skilled and took care of all the small details like arranging for transfers, which would’ve been a nightmare to do online. I highly recommend Nomad Travels!

Last December four of us took a tour of the Golden Triangle. This trip was arranged by Nomad Travels who provided a service that was “par excellence”. Ajay and his team got involved in our planning process a year in advance and gave us options on cities to see, hotels to stay, places to visit and types of transportation to use. All we had to do was pick and choose the services that gave us the biggest value for our money. The hotels we stayed at and places we were shown by our English speaking guides and drivers were very safe and fantastic. The entire Nomad Travels team was flexible and accommodated our every need. I highly recommend Ajay and his team for anyone that wants to see India.

Dear Derrick,
We owe you a HUGE thank you! WOW. What a trip! On behalf of all of us I thought your service was absolutely phenomenal. It all went so smoothly and we had a trip of a lifetime. In particular we thought Ambo our driver while in Kerala was brilliant. He was always on time, showed us all the best places to shop and eat. He was so kind and really looked after us. I really would recommend you guys to use him as much as possible. Thank you again for all your help Derrick and we would love to recommend you to anyone else going to India. Best wishes.

Ajay and Rashmi of Nomad Travels organized a wonderful 2 week trip for us in India in Oct/Nov 2014. They worked with us tirelessly over several months by email listening to our needs/wants and planning our trip. They had great suggestions regarding what to do or not to do and the order of places in our itineraries. They even suggested that we book airfare from the US as it would be cheaper, and suggested the flight we ended up choosing. They kept in touch while we were in India, to make sure everything was going well. All in all, it was a truly memorable trip and we highly recommend them!
— Robin Glantz and Sandra Gilbert, Washington, USA
Dear Ajay,
We travelled twice with Nomad Travels, and each time it was a great moment. The tour was planned according to our first wishes, and the advices and choices of both hotels and taxis were nice. The first time, it was the tour through the north of India, with a short stay by the Ganga river in Haridwar; the suggestion to drive up slowly from Chandigarh, till Leh, with a short stay in Shimla, and then, through Kullu valley, with a stop in Keylong, to acclimatize to the height was a good idea, so the stay in Ladakh was without any health problem!! Each time the choice of the taxi company was nice: the drivers were prudent and the travel was really safe. In addition the hotels proposed had really a good ratio quality/ price.

The second tour that you arranged for us, last winter, was also a nice moment: the timing was good without any loss of time to travel, and once more we discovered really nice hotels, in Khajuraho, Jaipur, Udaipur, etc.. And the additional suggestions of places to visit during our tour (Ranakpur, Fathepur Sikri) was good ideas. So we are thinking that the solution to work with Nomad Travels remains a best way to organize personal trips to India. Thanks to the team.

We have as a family undertaken vacations through Nomad at many locations in India, Asia and Europe. Whenever my wife, daughter or son think of planning a vacation, the first step that they take is write an e-mail to Nomad. Later, all actions are done through e-mail and telephone and the Nomad team is in touch with us till our safe return back home.

Dear Ajay and Rashmi,
We returned yesterday from Jaipur after one of the most fabulous and memorable trips in Rajasthan - all due to your excellent itinerary, wonderful stays in havelis, suggested meals and most of all your wonderful driver in Man Singh - what a guy really, with his terrific blend of rustic charm and excellent English skills armed with such knowledge of the locales that we drove by!
Rajasthan turned out to be so very contrary to our expectations of a dry dusty desert area - it was such a beautiful scenery of lush greens, hills and valleys! Guess the timing after the good rains this year enables such a sight..?
And catching the last bit of the RIFF festival was another spectacle for me to savor with Sharat...

Thank you so much for putting this trip together for us in such a seamless manner - thoroughly loved it and enjoyed it through Nomad Travels!! We cannot stop telling our family and friends about this - hope to return to Rajasthan again to check out the Mt. Abu and Chittor area next time (preferably with some cultural event around it?)

With compliments to Nomad Travels and to you both for your personal attention to details.
— Rashmey and Sharat Seth, Dubai, UAE
Dear Rashmi,
We are back home after 3 weeks full of wonderful impressions and experiences. We would like to thank you for the good job done and the perfect organization of the tour. We really felt like VIPs :) This made the trip a very enjoyable experience. The tour organization and representatives meeting us at arrival and departure. Hotels were all in accordance with what we were expecting (except the one in Mount Abu which is on a very bad trend of being run down, but we had selected this one based on comments in two of our guides. I shall write to the editors of the guides about this). Of special attention, we want to mention very special thanks to our driver Manohar Singh who was really our good angel during the two weeks he was with us. I would highly recommend this person who is multi-talented in addition to being a good driver. Good humour, cool, guide, advice and hints on the various cities where we stayed. The car was full of laughter during the travels and that made the travel hours seem very short. I will highly recommend Nomad Travels to my friends and relatives in the future. This was an excellent Job! :=)
