Day 1: Delhi
Arrive Delhi check into your hotel Svelte Suits or similar. Delhi, the capital city, retains its old historical charm and is a modern wonder with high-rise buildings, huge shopping malls and busy streets. Some parts look like overgrown villages and small towns while other areas have posh hotels, restaurants and sleek art centers. The Dilli Haat, in the commercial centre of South Delhi, is a traditional village market which show-cases the best of Indian culture, handicrafts and ethnic cuisine. Time permitting you can visit this unique market which is actually a cultural centre. Proceed for a half-day sightseeing of historical monuments like the Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, India Gate and Parliament House. In the evening see the Sound and light show at the Red-Fort, another important Mughal monument. Overnight Delhi.
Day 2: Delhi - Agra
After breakfast drive 204 km to Agra, the city of the Taj-Mahal and one of the most popular destinations of the world. Visit Akbar’s tomb at Sikandra, enroute to Agra. Check into your hotel ITC Mughal / Taj Gateway / Mansingh Palace or similar. Visit the Taj Mahal with a guide. A sunset or sunrise visit to the Taj is very special - the luminescent white marble comes alive in different hues. The river Yamuna flowing behind the Taj reflects the monument in all its glory. Visit the Agra Fort which was designed as a military base by Akbar. Overnight Agra.
Day 3: Agra - Jaipur
After breakfast drive 237 km to the pink city of Jaipur via the imposing monument of Fatehpur Sikri. Built in pink sandstone, the erstwhile Mughal capital is impressive with a 54 metre high entrance known as the Buland Darwaza. Inside the complex is a mosque and a white marbled tomb of the saint Salim Chishti. Arrive in Jaipur and check into your hotel Taj Jai Mahal Palace / Samode Haveli / Mansingh Towers or similar. Jaipur is a city of forts, palaces replete with the splendor of Rajput royalty. Half-day sightseeing of Jaipur city – visit the Jantar Mantar, Hawa-Mahal, City Palace and the bazaars of Jaipur for some excellent shopping. Overnight Jaipur.
Day 4:
After breakfast visit the old Rajput capital – the Amber Fort, with a guide. The frescos, paintings and carvings at Amber are the finest example of Hindu Rajput architecture. Laid out on four levels with open courtyards and temples is an opulent palace within the formidable fort. Take an elephant ride to the ramparts of the fort. Later catch up with your shopping and sightseeing in the city. Have dinner at Chokhi Dhani an open air ethnic place with folk dancers and musicians and authentic Rajasthani cuisine. Overnight Jaipur.
Day 5: Jaipur – Delhi
Depart for Delhi and drop to the airport to fly home, or extend your stay in Rajasthan by taking a trip to the wildlife sanctuaries at Sariska or Ranthambhore or doing a camel safari in the Shekhawati region or at Jaisalmer.

A half day tour of New Delhi covering Qutub Minar, India Gate, Parliament House, Humayun’s Tomb and Rajghat – Mahatama Gandhi’s final resting place. Evening free for browsing the Dilli Haat where traditional craftsmen display their skills and wares or shopping at one of the many trendy stores or sampling a fine variety of cuisine in the many food-stalls. Overnight Delhi.
Day 2: Explore Delhi
Full day tour of the sights of New and Old Delhi – the lotus shaped Bahai temple, Jantar Mantar, the sprawling Purana Qila or Old Fort on the banks of the Yamuna. Visit the famous Jama Masjid and Chandni Chowk in Old Delhi. Catch the Sound and Light show at the Red Fort. Overnight Delhi.
Day 3: Delhi – Agra
Drive 204 km to Agra via Sikandra. At Agra check into your hotel ITC Mughal / Taj Gateway / Mansingh Palace or similar. Visit one of the greatest wonders – the Taj Mahal with a guide. Visit the Agra Fort. Try for a sunset view of the Taj. Overnight Agra.
Day 4: Agra – Jaipur
After breakfast depart for Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri. Check into your hotel Taj Jai Mahal Palace / Samode Haveli / Mansingh Towers or similar. Sightseeing of Jaipur city. Overnight Jaipur.
Day 5: Explore Jaipur
Full day tour of Jaipur covering the bazaars, palaces, monuments. Visit the City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal. Visit Amber Fort with guide. Take an elephant ride on the ramparts of the fort. Have dinner at Chokhi Dhani. Overnight Jaipur.
Day 6:
Depart for Delhi and onward to your home destination.

Delhi: Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, Red Fort , Jama Masjid – the epitomes of Mughal architecture, should not be missed on your Delhi trip. Humayun’s Tomb, built in the 16th Century with red sand-stone is a precursor to the Taj Mahal. The Qutub Minar is one of the finest stone towers in India at a height of 72.5 meters. Built in 1199 by Sultan Qutubuddin as a victory tower, it is still one of the finest landmarks of the capital. The Red Fort, built with red sandstone is an imposing structure with high walls going up to 30 meters. The mosques inside the fort were the private mosques of the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. It was from here that the British deposed the last Mughal emperor, Bahadur Shah Zafar and later freedom from British rule was also announced from the ramparts of the fort by Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of independent India. The other imposing British monuments like the Parliament House, India Gate and Rashtrapati Bhawan are equally important land marks of the capital.
Agra: The most extravagant monument of love the Taj Mahal in white marble is one of the most popular wonders of the modern world. The Agra Fort is another massive red sandstone structure built by Akbar as a military base. Six miles north of Agra is Sikandra, the site of Akbar’s mausoleum which reflects the fusion of Hindu and Muslim architecture. Fatehpur Sikri was once the capital of Akbar but was later abandoned due to a scarcity of water. The magnificent fortified monument is an imposing sight.
Jaipur: Rajasthan’s beautiful pink city was the stronghold of Rajput kings. It is a well planned city built by Sawai Jaisingh II. Hawa Mahal, in the heart of the city, is the most recognized monument with five stories and 152 latticed windows designed for royal ladies to watch the activities on the street below. Jantar Mantar is an observatory of the 18th Century with a huge sun dial which still gives accurate time. The City Palace and Museum in the heart of the old city is a magnificent palace with fine gardens. Amber, the old capital, is a remarkable example of royal grandeur.
