| Trekking in the Garwal Himalaya |
| Here we have a very interesting itinerary for people keen on mountains and adventure. This region of the Garhwal Himalaya has some of the highest mountains of the world, viz. Nandadevi, Shivling, Bhagirathi etc. It also has some very inviting valleys and meadows interspersed with many sparkling rivers and lakes at altitudes between 5000 - 12000 ft which are easily accessible by the ordinary but energetic person of any age, who loves to trek/ride a pony. At most spots of scenic beauty tented camps may be set up easily, and our experienced staff shall provide hot and tasty meals. An experienced mountain guide will always accompany and supervise all arrangements besides being very educative on the region's flora and fauna. This is the region of the Himalaya whose sheer beauty is credited by Hindu mythology of being the abode of the Gods and the source of the holy river Ganga.Tiny villages dot the mountainsides in apparent isolation and the people are warm and welcoming to those who venture near. |
