Delhi - Rishikesh |

A five hour drive (225 km) from Delhi brings you to Rishikesh, gateway to the Garhwal Himalayas and first recipient of the torrential Ganga in the plains. Check in at the tourist bungalow at the edge of the forest not far from the sacred banks of the Ganga, where you watch the sun dip with the sound of conch shells wafting in the air as devout Hindus immerse themselves inthe holiest of all rivers. |

Rishikesh - Devprayag (Down River) |

Feel the bracing mountain air as you ascend the mighty Himalayas over a winding road to Devprayag (72 km), confluence of the Alakananda and Bhagirathi, two major tributaries fed by the vast snow fields high above as they wend their way through rocky boulder strewn gorges and lush green valleys, a river-runners paradise! Splash down into the Ganga in your inflatable rafts with your expert river guide for the thrill of a lifetime : the adrenaline rushes through your veins as you roller- coast, shooting wild rapids and cataracts of the roaring river alternating with moments of tranquillity while floating serenely on placid stretches between densely forested shores echoing with the sounds of the jungle. Camp tonight by the riverside on a sandy cove. |

Raft Down to Rishikesh / Chila Forest Reserve |

The river engulfs you once again this morning after a hearty breakfast. Beach your raft for lunch before hitting the wildest section that plummets you down to Rishikesh in one breathless rush! Tonight lose yourself in contemplation of mighty mother nature. Dinner and overnight at the tourist bungalow, Chila. |

Rishikesh - Gangotri (250 km) |

Drive up to the sacred shrine of Gangotri via Uttarkashi. Far below the Bhagirathi ribbons through its steep sided valley with a majestic backdrop of snowclad mountains.

| Day 5 |
Gangotri - Chirbasa - Bhojwasa |

Begin your trek toward Gaumukh, traditional source of the Ganga, halting overnight at Bhojbasa. You are accompanied by an expert mountain guide, high altitude porters andcook. You trek through virgin forests of pine and birch Camp overnight at Bhojwasa. |
| Day 6 |
Bhojwasa - Gaumukh |

Trek 7 kms to Gaumukh before pitching camp at 15,500 ft. You are surrounded by some of the highest mountains in the world, pristine and awe-inspiring. Here you become one with nature... overawed by the mighty grandeur of the Himalayas. |
| Day 7 |
Gaumukh - Nandanvan |

A 6 km trek brings you to Nandanvan providing fascinating views of Shivling, Bhagirathi, Sudarshana, Thelu peaks and Kedar dome. Overnight camp in alpine style tents. |
| Day 8 |
Nandanvan - Tapovan |
| |
A glacier crossing and traversing a rocky facefor 6 km brings you to Tapovan, a lush green meadow grazed by bharal - blue mountain sheep. A very ideal camping site one is loath to leave! |
| Day 9 |
Tapovan - Bhojwasa |
| |
Descend to Bhogwasa where you camp tonight with a wonderful feeling of elation. |
| Day 10 |
Bhojwasa - Gangotri - Rishikesh |
| |
Trek the last leg of your journey to Gangotri from where you take the transport to Rishikesh. A last night in the mountains as you celebrate your adventure in the Himalayas. |
| Day 11 |
Rishikesh - Delhi |
| |
Depart for Delhi by road this morning reaching in time for lunch. Disperse. Adventure tours are dependent on prevailing conditions of the natural environment and subject to suitable adaptations and changes. |
